Our History
Clearspring Church began in 2007 with a handful of people gathering in a converted garage, led by Paul and Sarah Burtwell. Their vision was to share the Gospel with every person in Gloucestershire and to disciple new believers in the Christian faith.
From these humble beginnings, Clearspring has grown into a thriving church, now located in the Dean Close Centenary Hall in Cheltenham.
Over the years, Clearspring has witnessed hundreds of people turn to Christ, with more than 5 million individuals hearing the Gospel message through our various media ministry and events.
The church continues to focus on the Great Commission by God’s grace and power with an emphasis on clear and excellent presentation.

Our Leadership
Paul + Sarah Burtwell
Paul holds a B.A. in Christian Theology and a PGCE in Religious Education. A certified apologist with Reasonable Faith Ministry, he defends Christianity with clarity. Formerly Head of Religious Education, he now focuses on full-time ministry and evangelism.
An author of seven books, his teachings have reached over five million people. He frequently appears on TV, sharing biblical insights.
Sarah is passionate about the next generation, works in Education and leads Clearspring's children's programs.
