Clearspring Evangelical Church Gloucester
Evangelism:
Fulfilling the great commission of Matthew 28:19, is at the heart of our Church. Evangelism is an exciting mission. It is an opportunity to discover and use our God-given gifts to truly make a difference. We take the Lord's promise of salvation to all those without Christ and without hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
If you have a desire for evangelistic ministry then come along and join our local weekly evangelism team missions. If you have media skills and are looking to serve the Lord, then join us, we are actively involved in TV, Social Media and national events.
So what is Evangelism? Evangelism simply means talking to others about the Christian faith and sharing God's gospel with them. This could be as simple as talking to a friend, colleague, or family member. In addition to this the Lord may prompt you to speak to someone by recalling a message or sermon you heard at church, that either moved you or seems relevant to a situation that is happening in someone's life right now. There are many different ways to evangelise, but the most important thing is that we share the message of Christ's forgiveness through his atoning death on the cross, for this is the foundation of all evangelism.
At Clearspring Church, we have an active weekly evangelism team where we expand on the above concept of sharing with those locally and further a field. We offer gospel tracts and look for opportunities to talk to or pray with people we meet on the streets. In recent years we have reached more than 5 million people with the gospel message and this number is rapidly growing all the time.
In addition to sharing one on one, Evangelism can also be performed through preaching. This is done in many ways at Clearspring Church, via local and national events, social media outreach and through our weekly television ministry.
It is clear from the Scriptures that we are all called to spread God's word. The Gospel of Matthew 28:19-20 tells us: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
At first, evangelism may seem like a daunting task, yet in time with the help, power and guidance of the Holy Spirit and the release of his gifts, evangelism can become one of the greatest joys.

National Events
In 2022, we ran a nationwide tour called "THE GOD OF HOPE TOUR". We booked cinema venues around the country and engaged with local Churches to ensure that the newly saved people have a local Church to disciple them. It was an amazingly blessed time with 20-30 people coming to Jesus for salvation at each event. See below for more info and watch this space for 2023 events. If you have skills in planning, organising and supporting events please joins us.

About RFUK Apologetics and Evangelism Cinema Outreach
The RFUK concept of national apologetics and evangelism outreach in local cinemas presents a unique way for churches and religious organisations to spread the gospel. An effective outreach strategy means making the most of every opportunity to reach out to audiences in the local area. While traditional methods of evangelism, such as door-to-door visits, street preaching and gospel courses still hold value, the local cinema provides a highly visible venue for using apologetics and evangelism techniques to reach new people.
An effective national apologetics and evangelism outreach campaign in local cinemas should target a particular audience creating an engaging message, which should include AV elements derived from apologetics and evangelism in order to help the audience understand the message and consider its implications. The specifics of the message will depend largely on the local target audience, the particular context of the event, the desires of the local church or religious organisation, and the method they decide to use in following up the message.
When an apologetics and evangelism outreach campaign is presented properly through local cinema, it can make a dramatic and lasting impact. Capturing the attention of the specific audience and ensuring viewers walk away with a positive and memorable experience is key. This can be accomplished through several different means, including using film and audio created specifically for the purpose of presenting the message, and by working with the local cinema staff to provide a tailored experience for their customers. Carefully chosen audio, visuals and effects can create a powerful experience that will encourage interest and provide an entry point into further conversation and deliberation regarding faith.
Presenting a unified approach throughout any message helps to improve the consistency and effectiveness of the outreach campaign. This includes the creation of branded materials and use of unique graphics to help distinguish the materials from those of other churches or religious organisations. By promoting unity and standing out from other forms of local outreach, any local cinema campaign can make a real and lasting difference.
Finally, churches or religious organisations that use our national apologetics and evangelism service for outreach in local cinema should make sure to follow-up with audiences after their showing. Doing so allows for further dialogue and provides the opportunity to ask questions and gain input from the event attendees. This tangible action will help to strengthen the apologetic and gospel themes presented in the original message, reinforce ideas and ultimately have a greater impact on those who attended.
In conclusion, using the RFUK national apologetics and evangelism outreach in local cinema can be a powerful means to spread the gospel. By engaging a particular audience, creating a unified message, presenting the message in a unique way, and following-up with viewers, churches and religious organisations will be more successful in reaching more people through the multimedia opportunities afforded by cinema.
